My Own Garden

My own garden has evolved over twenty five years.  There are a number of areas, each with its own character, in which to sit contemplatively at varying times of the day and in different seasons.  My aim is to provide year round food and shelter for wildlife and to make sure there is something beautiful for humans to enjoy on every day of the year.

The Meadow and Pond

The meadow is quiet and secluded the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the the pond.

The White corner

Cool and contemplative, the gentle sound of water bubbling in the raised pond diverts attention from all other distracting noises.

The Oak Arbour

The arbour is perfect for a cup of coffee when the meadow is coming alive on a on a Spring morning.

The Sunny Circular Terrace

A focal point when viewed from the kitchen, the circular terrace is the place to catch the sun for Spring and Autumn outdoor meals.  Lazy summer evening parties by candlelight are enhanced by the scent of jasmine.

This little chap arrives every day to take his afternoon nap on the table.

  1. Beautiful. So peaceful. I’d never go out. Years of hard work I suspect.
