I studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, graduated as a botanist and then taught Biology to ’A’ level. In 1990 I completed the Professional Garden Design course at the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden.
Since then I have built up my garden design practice, becoming a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers in 2003. My ‘Borrowed Landscape’ won an Association of Professional Landscapers award in 2009 and other work has been featured in books and magazines both in the UK and abroad.
I am a visiting lecturer at the Garden Design School at Painshill Park and was for several years part of the schools’ education team at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
